...it's summer and Teaching Dad to Cook Flapjack has hit the shops!
I haven't had the satisfaction of seeing my book actually on the shelves of a bookshop yet, but I've heard it's out there; from a display in Selfridges, London to neighbourhood bookshops in San Francisco.
Although inspired by teaching my father to cook, this book isn't solely for men of a certain age and disposition. It's full of family recipes from my Cornish roots and my newer Scandinavian family, as well as many that answer the daily question of "what can I make for supper in 20 minutes?" I've been told that it also works if you read it (whilst jet-lagged) at 5am from cover to cover, particularly if your baby has kept you awake all night, and there's no chance of going back to bed. Something for everyone!
Please check Waitrose Kitchen's June issue for a feature about recipe legacies.
